ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR GNM COURSES

1. Candidate should be between 17 to 35 years of age.

2. Candidate must have passed 12 years of Education - PUC/PDC/10+2 with optional subjects preferably in science with an aggregate of 45%.

3. Both female and male candidates are eligible.

4. Candidate must be physically fit.

5. Admission to G.N.M. Course is once a year, in the first week of September.

ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR B.SC. NURSING

1. A Candidate seeking admission should have,

  • Passed the two year pre-university examination or equivalent as recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University Health Science, with science subjects, viz.,Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Obtained atleast 45% in science subjects of the qualifying examination.For B.Sc., a candidate who is Sheduled Caste or a Sheduled Tribe, should have obtained not less than 40% of the total marks in science subjects of the qualifying examination.
  • Completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete this age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Candidate must be physically fit.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The candidate will have personal interview with the selection committee during admission. Students will be selected on merit basis.

FEE

The candidate have to pay the tution fees and other fees as fixed by the institution from time to time. They have to pay all expenses in conection with the training. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

DISCONTINUATION

In case of discontinuation at the middle of the training period they will have to pay the whole course fee on their discharge. A written undertaking is taken from the candidate & parents in this regard.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Students will be encouraged to participate in all extra curricular activities of the institution & also to compete in intercollegiate & university level cultural programmes.

ELEGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR (GNM) STUDENTS

  • Candidates must complete 11 months of the course in each year.
  • Candidate must have attended 75% of theory and 75% in clinical and field experience.
  • Candidate's practical experience and practical record book must be updated.
  • Candidate must attend 6 class tests in each subjects.
  • Candidates must write 3 internal examinations for internal evaluation.
  • Candidates must conduct themselves well and maintain discipline.

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT

There shall be an internal assessment which follows broadly the principles enumerated by the university in each subject for which 20% of the marks are set apart and these will be added to the final marks in the University/Board examinations. There shall be assignments and periodical tests in every subject in each year to assess the progress of the candidates.

If a candidate fails in an examination,his/her internal assessment shall be assessed again if he/she is a regular student for the second attempt only, and marks, whichever is higher/aggregate will be considered.
GNM 25% for theory and 50% for practicals are allocated for Internal assessment.
